Direct Mail can import addresses from file that contain ordered records. This is different than CSV or delimited text files. In an ordered file, both records and fields are delimited with a carriage-return. Each record must contain fields in the same order. For example:
Records from these kind of ordered files can be imported by Direct Mail. Here's how:
- Choose Addresses > Import from the menu bar.
- Choose "Ordered Files" from the popup menu.
- Click Choose and select the file you want to import from.
Add a new row to the Fields table for each field you want to import. For the example above, you would add:
Name: Import as Full Name
Email: Import as Email
- Click Import.
