Looking up your Direct Mail account password

When you first signed in to Direct Mail on your computer, you were given the option of saving your password in your macOS keychain. If you did not enable that option, then your password was not saved anywhere on your computer (for security purposes). If you cannot remember your password, you'll need to reset it.

However, if you did save your password in your macOS keychain, then you can use the Keychain Access app on your Mac to retrieve it:

  1. Open the Keychain Access application. It is located in the Applications > Utilities folder.
  2. In the search box located at the top-right corner of the window, type "Direct Mail Account Password".
  3. Double-click the first search result and click the "Show password" checkbox. You will be prompted for your keychain password (this is usually the same password you use to log in to your Mac).

If your search came up empty, it means your computer has not stored your Direct Mail account password. You'll need to reset your password.
