This help article is for an old version of Direct Mail.
You can import email addresses from Apple Mail one at a time or in bulk. To import one at a time, just drag and drop the email address from Apple Mail into your address list. Here is a short video demonstrating how to do this:
Importing in Bulk
Please remember that opt-in permission is required from each of your recipients before you can email them using Direct Mail. Please be careful in choosing which email addresses to import from Apple Mail.
Due to spamming concerns, bulk importing from Apple Mail is currently available only upon request. Please contact our support team to unlock this feature.
Direct Mail can import the following addresses from Apple Mail: from address, to address, cc address, bcc address, or email addresses found in the body of the message. Here's how:
- Choose Addresses > Import From > Mail from the menu bar. If Apple Mail is not already open, it will be opened in the background.
- A list of your email accounts and mailboxes will be displayed. Select the mailboxes you want to import from.
- At the bottom of the window, check the addresses you'd like to import.
- Click Import
Apple Mail may be unresponsive while Direct Mail is in process of importing. Please wait for the import to complete before trying to use Apple Mail.
